“As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a lyrical gangster.”
As soon as I could hold a pen, my mother would hand-make me little books so I could write my tiny tales. Although I eventually swapped micro-novels for journalism, storytelling still runs in my veins.
From the fashion cupboards of Harpers and Marie Claire via the London College of Fashion, I began my journalism career in print in the early ‘aughts. I helped launch fashion start-ups DRAMA and Plastique magazines before entering the digital arena to found award-nominated fashion site, The Real Runway and edit culture site, The Metropolist.
My writing has been published in Dazed & Confused, The Huffington Post, Evening Standard, The Independent, VOGUE Arabia, VICE and many more.
I’ve worked in-house as a brand copywriter at London-based agencies 7C3, Qumin and Hg2 Labs before going freelance after I entered the world of motherhood.
